We often find people arrive with worries to their first float, they soon disappear. We’re always here to support and put you at ease before you step into the pods. Here are the most common concerns we hear:

Is it Claustrophobic?

Not at all. Most people assume it will be but are always pleasantly surprised. The float pods are designed to be spacious and are far bigger than they look. The pivoting lid is light enough to be opened by a finger, never locks and is fully in your control (float with it open if you like). Lighting inside the pod is also in your control with the press of a button. 

Is it Clean?

Our float pod water is filtered to the same standards as bottled water. It passes through a 1 micron filter (100 times smaller than hair) several times between sessions. Plus treatment with H202 and UV light to completely eliminate any possibility of bacteria, viruses or mold which already experience protection from the high salt concentration where pathogens cannot survive. Together, these layers of purification guarantee the cleanest and safest environment every time you float with us.

Is 60 minutes the only duration?

 We advise 60 minutes as we believe this is the optimal time for the experience and goes much faster than you’d expect. However, we also provide 30 minute sessions on a trial basis to test the environment. Those looking for an experience beyond 60 minutes, we can arrange 90 minutes+ with our members.

Does everyone float?

Yes, everyone and anyone will 100% float. The pods are filled with 1000 pounds of epsom salt which allows you to float effortlessly on the surface like a cork, you will never sink and it is completely safe to fall asleep.

Do I have to turn the lights off?

No, you are in full control of the light switch. But it is important to be aware, the aim of float therapy is to reduce the work your mind and body has to do processing your senses. So we will always encourage you to try traditional float therapy which is in silence with the lights off which is what all the research is based on.
