tERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please carefully read our terms and conditions below. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are aware of them before arriving.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any further explanation.

By placing an order or booking you accept these terms and conditions.

 Terms of Booking

 Booking Policy

  1. Advance Booking:

All sessions must be booked in advance through our website or in person at our facility. We don't accept walk-in appointments for first time floats.

  2. Payment:

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session.

  3. Confirmation:

Upon successful booking and payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your session details.

  4. Age Restrictions

Floatation therapy is available to individuals aged 18 and over. We may ask you to present your ID and request your date of birth at the time of bookings to confirm your date of birth.

  5. Mobility

Because you have complete privacy during your float session, you must be physically able to climb in and out of the float tank by yourself

  6. Health Conditions:

If you have a health condition, and are in any doubt about whether you can use any of our services safely, please consult your doctor before booking.
    If you suffer from any of the below medical conditions we ask that you do not float;
    open wounds, sores, or rashes
    any contagious illness or disease
    incontinence
    uncontrolled kidney disease
    uncontrolled psychosis or schizophrenia
    an uncontrolled seizure disorder
    an uncontrolled heart condition
    have recently had chemotherapy
    an ear infection
an allergy to Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) or hydrogen peroxide
A history of low or high blood pressure
are in your first trimester of pregnancy.

If floating while on your period, you must use a tampon or menstrual cup.

If you suffer from severe motion sickness in other circumstances (e.g. in a boat or car), there is a chance you could suffer from it in the pod. If you usually use medication to control your motion sickness in these circumstances, you may wish to consider doing so in the case of floating.

If you are diabetic, please be aware that floating reduces the cortisol level in the body, which in turn lowers blood sugar levels.

Floating reduces your blood pressure, so if you already have low blood pressure please take extra care when exiting the pod.  Sit up, then pause to assess yourself before standing.

  7. Everyone’s floating experience is variable and personal. At Rest Space Floatation rooms we try our hardest to make sure you are fully aware of what to expect and to make you as comfortable as possible. However, refunds will not be issued if you don’t have a pleasant experience.

 Rules for Floating

 Pre-Float Preparation

  1. Welcome Video

For your first float, you must receive full instructions before you float. You must watch the welcome video before you come for your first float. If you arrive and have not yet watched the video you will be required to watch it before you float, which may reduce the time available for your float.

  2. Showering:

All clients must shower thoroughly before entering the float tank to remove oils, perfumes, and any other contaminants. You must only use shampoo and body wash before entering the pod, no conditioner (There are oils present in hair conditioner that would sit on the surface of the water)

  3. Attire:

You may float nude or wear swimwear. The choice is yours, and the float rooms are completely private.

  4. Eating and Drinking:

Avoid heavy meals and caffeine at least 2 hours before your float session. Hydrate well but avoid excessive fluid intake immediately before floating.

 During the Float

  1. Respect:

Maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor to ensure a serene environment for all clients. Please be quiet when you leave your room and when you are in the reception area.

You must behave appropriately during your visit to and in your communications with us at Rest Space Floatation Rooms. This means that you will follow the reasonable instructions of the staff. You will show respect to the staff, facilities and fellow customers. If in the judgement of the staff your behaviour is inappropriate you may be asked to leave, in which case you will comply.  In this circumstance you will not be eligible for a refund.

  2. Contamination

You must not put anything into the float solution except your body. You must not add any perfumes, essential oils, bath salts, chemicals, or any other substance to the float solution. You must remove any makeup before floating.  We also ask that you take off any jewellery that can be removed.
You agree to pay up to £1500 towards the cost of making good the pod and solution, and offsetting lost income if you contaminate the float solution in any way.

  3. Hygiene:

Do not enter the float tank if you have any open wounds, infectious skin conditions, or communicable diseases.

  4. Substances:

You must not enter the float tank under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances. We reserve the right to refuse entry if you appear to be under the influence.

  5. Hair and Skin Products:

You can not enter the float tank if you have used any hair dyes, tanning products, or other substances that could contaminate the float tank water. You must be sure that no hair dye will transfer from your hair into the water and that no fake tan will come off your body when you float. Should either happen you will be liable to pay £1500 in damages at the time that they have happened. We have the right to refuse entry should we observe a concern with fake tan or hair dye. By booking a float, you assume all liability and agree to pay the damages.
Hair dye should be left for at least 3 weeks before floating and no topical tan should be present on your skin.

  6. Personal Items:

Remove all jewelry and personal items before entering the float tank. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

  7. Comfort

    For your comfort, we recommend that you do not float too soon after the following;

Caffeine - within the last 2 hours
A large meal within the last hour or so
Waxing - within last 24/48 hours
Shaving - within last 12/24 hours
Giving birth (before you have healed)
A new piercing or tattoo (If your tattoo or piercing is not fully healed, it is going to sting when it comes into contact with the salty water. We advise that you wait 3 – 4 weeks after getting your tattoo or piercing, before floating)

 Post-Float

  1. Showering:

Rinse off thoroughly after your float to remove any residual salt from your skin and hair.

You accept that you may get salt water in your ears when you float, even if you choose to wear earplugs, and you agree to rinse the salt water out of your ears thoroughly in the shower afterwards.

  2. Environment:

Help us maintain a clean and peaceful environment by tidying up after your session and disposing of any waste in the provided bins. If you have hired a towel or used one as a member, please leave it in the float room or in the hair drying room.
